RV MAINTENANCE

Most RV'ers today really do not maintain their RV's like they should and unfortunately this will in the long run cost them dearly... RV Maintenance should be at the top of all RV'ers priority list... Below are a few major areas you need to keep track of on your RV.... This is all prevenative maintenance..
• Rubber Roof Maintenance: Clean: wash down entire roof remove all debris, wash down sides of coach. Let dry, and Seal up any gaps in Lap Sealant on all seams and vents. Treat rubber material with rubber protectant.
• Awning Maintenance: Clean vinyl material with awning cleaner that contains a UV blocker to protect the vinyl material. Adjust spring tension. Lube all moving parts with silicone spray. Lube rafter bar knobs with WD-40.
• Propane Leak Test: Using a LP Monometer perform a LP drop test on LP system to check for leaks and adjust LP Regulator to proper pressure.
• Furnace Maintenance: Clean burner orifice, burner air intake holes, clean and vacuum any rust. Clean and check air intake and exhaust tubes. Check and tighten all electrical connections. Check, clean and adjust igniter electrode. Check LP pressure. Check air flow at all vents. Check cold air return area for debris.
• Refrigerator Maintenance: clean burner orifice, air inlet holes, removes any spider webs and rust. Check and clean burner flue pipe and vacuum rust. Check roof vent for debris. Check and tighten all electrical connections. Check heating element amp draw. Check LP pressure at refrigerator. Check door gaskets for proper seal.
• Water Heater Maintenance: clean burner orifice, air inlet holes and pilot assy. Check burner flue pipe for obstructions. Check and tighten all electrical connections. Check amp draw on heating element. Check LP pressure. Adjust burner air intake.
• Roof A/C Maintenance: Clean filter elements. Clean and check sensing probe, clean contacts on mechanical wall t-stats. Check and clean all electrical connections. Check condition of roof gasket. Clean condenser and evaporator. Clean and position cold control in evaporator coils. Clean out condensation drain holes. Straighten any bent evaporator fins. Oil fan motor. Inspect shroud for cracks. Perform a draw test.
• Window, exterior corner molding and exterior compartment maintenance: clean all loose sealant off, tighten all moldings, windows and compartment screws, reseal all with silicone sealant.
